Women’s Rainbow Check Tweed Three-Piece Suit – Made to Measure

£399.00

Style options

Classic single-breasted, or a more statement double-breasted front.

Notch is the classic lapel that works for everything. Peak is sharper, bolder and less common – ideal if you want more of a statement look.

Single-breasted is clean and versatile. Double-breasted gives more of a vintage, tailored feel and makes the waistcoat a real feature.

Most people choose no lapel for a versatile waistcoat. Adding a lapel makes it bolder and more jacket-like when you take the main jacket off.

Satin is cooler under a jacket. Full tweed looks best if you’ll be wearing the waistcoat on its own.

Upper body measurements

Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, with the tape level and snug but not digging in.

Measure around your natural waist – where your body naturally creases when you bend to the side.

Measure around the fullest part of your bum/hips, with the tape level all the way round.

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where a shoulder seam would sit) down to where you’d like the jacket cuff to end.

Lower body measurements

Measure around where you want the trouser waistband to sit – usually just above the hip bones.

Measure from the very top of the inside leg (right up in the crotch) down to where you’d like the trouser hem to sit on your shoe.

Height

Choose the band that’s closest to your height – we use this with your other measurements to balance the jacket and trouser proportions.

Anything else we should know? (optional)

If there’s anything unusual we should allow for – one shoulder higher, one arm longer, bigger thighs, previous tailoring you liked, etc. – pop it in here.

Description

Colourful rainbow check tweed, tailored exactly to your shape.

Our women’s rainbow check tweed three-piece suit is fully made to measure. Instead of trying to squeeze into an “almost right” size, you choose your style options, add your measurements, and we cut the jacket, waistcoat and trousers to your body – bust, waist, bum, thighs, sleeve, inside leg, the lot.

The fabric is a playful, multi-colour rainbow check on a classic tweed base – bold, fun and perfect if you want to stand out at weddings, race days, parties or just because life’s too short for boring suits.

The fabric

  • Multi-colour rainbow check tweed on a classic base

  • Eye-catching but still properly tailored, not fancy dress

  • Works with simple white or black tops, roll-necks and camis, plus boots, brogues or heels

Women’s tailoring – cut for your body

This is not a men’s suit scaled down. Your rainbow check suit is drafted around you:

  • Jacket shaped through the waist and bust for a clean women’s silhouette

  • Neater, modern jacket length so it sits well over trousers without feeling boxy

  • Trousers cut to your bum, hips and thighs, not just a waist size

  • Waistcoat shaped to sit smoothly over the bust without gaping or pulling

The whole three-piece is balanced so jacket, waistcoat and trousers look like one intentional outfit.

Style options – built into this made-to-measure suit

Because it’s made to measure, you control the look:

  • Jacket front – classic single-breasted (as you’ll likely photograph) or a bolder double-breasted front

  • Jacket lapels – timeless notch lapel, or a sharper peak lapel if you really want to lean into the statement

  • Waistcoat front – single-breasted or double-breasted (great if you prefer a bit more coverage)

  • Waistcoat lapels – clean V-front with no lapel, or a lapel for more of a “mini jacket” feel

  • Waistcoat back – black satin (lighter and cooler under a jacket) or full tweed (best if you’ll wear it on its own)

All selected via simple dropdowns on the product page – no email ping-pong.

Fit & measurements – how it works

Instead of picking a size number, you give us the measurements that actually matter. On the product page you’ll see clear dropdowns for:

  • Chest / bust

  • Waist (tummy area)

  • Bum / hips

  • Trouser waist (where you like your trousers to sit)

  • Jacket sleeve length

  • Inside leg

  • Height band

Each dropdown includes straightforward guidance so you know where to measure and which band to choose – you don’t need to be a tailor.

There’s also an additional notes box – ideal if:

  • One shoulder sits higher

  • One arm is longer

  • You have very curvy hips / strong thighs

  • You own a blazer or trousers whose fit you like and want us to echo

We use those measurements and notes, plus your style choices, to cut a rainbow check suit that is:

  • Properly tailored but not skin-tight

  • Comfortable enough to sit, walk, eat and dance in

  • Proportioned to your height so jacket length, waistcoat line and trouser break all look deliberate

Made to Order vs Made to Measure

You could also offer a made-to-order rainbow check suit in standard sizes. That’s ideal for people who:

  • Are happy picking from a UK size chart

  • Just want separate jacket/waistcoat and trouser sizes

This listing is the Made to Measure option:

  • Built around your measurements, not generic sizing

  • Extra style control (double-breasted options, peak lapels, waistcoat lapels, waistcoat back fabric)

  • Best for tricky fits and “statement suit” moments you’ll want to wear again
