Women’s Classic Grey Herringbone Tweed Three-Piece Suit – Made to Measure

Women’s Classic Grey Herringbone Tweed Three-Piece Suit – Made to Measure

£399.00

Style options

Classic single-breasted, or a more statement double-breasted front.

Notch is the classic lapel that works for everything. Peak is sharper, bolder and less common – ideal if you want more of a statement look.

Single-breasted is clean and versatile. Double-breasted gives more of a vintage, tailored feel and makes the waistcoat a real feature.

Most people choose no lapel for a versatile waistcoat. Adding a lapel makes it bolder and more jacket-like when you take the main jacket off.

Satin is cooler under a jacket. Full tweed looks best if you’ll be wearing the waistcoat on its own.

Upper body measurements

Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, with the tape level and snug but not digging in.

Measure around your natural waist – where your body naturally creases when you bend to the side.

Measure around the fullest part of your bum/hips, with the tape level all the way round.

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where a shoulder seam would sit) down to where you’d like the jacket cuff to end.

Lower body measurements

Measure around where you want the trouser waistband to sit – usually just above the hip bones.

Measure from the very top of the inside leg (right up in the crotch) down to where you’d like the trouser hem to sit on your shoe.

Height

Choose the band that’s closest to your height – we use this with your other measurements to balance the jacket and trouser proportions.

Anything else we should know? (optional)

If there’s anything unusual we should allow for – one shoulder higher, one arm longer, bigger thighs, previous tailoring you liked, etc. – pop it in here.

Description

Classic grey herringbone, tailored to your actual shape.

Our women’s grey herringbone tweed three-piece suit is fully made to measure. Instead of trying to make a “nearly right” size work, you choose your style options, add your measurements, and we cut the jacket, waistcoat and trousers to your body – bust, waist, bum, thighs, sleeve, inside leg, the lot.

The fabric is a classic mid–grey herringbone tweed: clean, timeless and easy to style for weddings, races, the office or nights out when you still want proper tailoring.

The fabric

  • Mid–grey herringbone tweed with a subtle, textured weave

  • Smart, versatile and seasonless – works all year round

  • Pairs with white, cream, black or soft colour tops, shirts, camis and roll-necks

Women’s tailoring – cut for your body

This isn’t a men’s suit shrunk down. Your grey herringbone suit is drafted around you:

  • Jacket shaped through the waist and bust for a clean, modern women’s silhouette

  • Neater jacket length designed to sit well over trousers without looking boxy

  • Trousers cut to your bum, hips and thighs, not just a waist size

  • Waistcoat shaped to sit smoothly over the bust without gaping or pulling

Everything is balanced so the jacket, waistcoat and trousers look like one intentional outfit, not three separate guesses.

Style options – built into this made-to-measure suit

Because this is made to measure, you’re in charge of the details:

  • Jacket front – classic single-breasted (as pictured) or a b bolder double-breasted front

  • Jacket lapels – timeless notch lapel, or a sharper peak lapel if you want more edge

  • Waistcoat front – single-breasted or double-breasted (nice if you want extra coverage)

  • Waistcoat lapels – clean V-front with no lapel, or a lapel for more of a “mini jacket” feel

  • Waistcoat back – black satin (lighter under a jacket) or full tweed (best if you’ll wear it on its own)

All of this is chosen via simple dropdowns on the product page – no long email back-and-forth.

Fit & measurements – how it works

Instead of choosing a size number, you give us the measurements that matter. On the product page you’ll see clear dropdowns for:

  • Chest / bust

  • Waist (tummy area)

  • Bum / hips

  • Trouser waist (where you like your trousers to sit)

  • Jacket sleeve length

  • Inside leg

  • Height band

Each option has simple guidance on where to measure and which band to pick – no tailoring experience needed.

There’s also an additional notes box – ideal if:

  • One shoulder sits higher than the other

  • One arm is noticeably longer

  • You have curvier hips / stronger thighs

  • You already own a blazer or trousers whose fit you like and want us to take cues from

We use that information plus your style choices to cut a grey herringbone suit that is:

  • Properly tailored but not skin-tight

  • Comfortable enough to sit, stand, walk and dance in

  • Proportioned to your height so jacket length, waistcoat line and trouser break all look deliberate

Made to Order vs Made to Measure

You might also offer a made-to-order women’s grey herringbone suit in standard sizes. That’s ideal for:

  • People happy choosing from a size chart

  • Those who just want separate jacket/waistcoat and trouser sizes

This listing is the Made to Measure option:

  • Built around your measurements, not a generic UK size

  • Extra style control (double-breasted options, peak lapels, waistcoat lapels, waistcoat back fabric)

  • Best for tricky fits and “big day” suits you’ll wear for years
