Women’s Blue Herringbone Tweed Three-Piece Suit – Made to Measure

£399.00

Style options

Classic single-breasted, or a more statement double-breasted front.

Notch is the classic lapel that works for everything. Peak is sharper, bolder and less common – ideal if you want more of a statement look.

Single-breasted is clean and versatile. Double-breasted gives more of a vintage, tailored feel and makes the waistcoat a real feature.

Most people choose no lapel for a versatile waistcoat. Adding a lapel makes it bolder and more jacket-like when you take the main jacket off.

Satin is cooler under a jacket. Full tweed looks best if you’ll be wearing the waistcoat on its own.

Upper body measurements

Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, with the tape level and snug but not digging in.

Measure around your natural waist – where your body naturally creases when you bend to the side.

Measure around the fullest part of your bum/hips, with the tape level all the way round.

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where a shoulder seam would sit) down to where you’d like the jacket cuff to end.

Lower body measurements

Measure around where you want the trouser waistband to sit – usually just above the hip bones.

Measure from the very top of the inside leg (right up in the crotch) down to where you’d like the trouser hem to sit on your shoe.

Height

Choose the band that’s closest to your height – we use this with your other measurements to balance the jacket and trouser proportions.

Anything else we should know? (optional)

If there’s anything unusual we should allow for – one shoulder higher, one arm longer, bigger thighs, previous tailoring you liked, etc. – pop it in here.

Description

Soft blue herringbone, sharp tailoring, cut to your shape.

Our women’s blue herringbone tweed three-piece suit is fully made to measure. Instead of fighting with “close enough” sizes, you choose your style options, add your measurements, and we cut the jacket, waistcoat and trousers to your body – bust, waist, bum, thighs, sleeve, inside leg, the lot.

The fabric is a classic mid–blue herringbone tweed: clean, flattering and easy to dress up or down. It works just as well for weddings and race days as it does for the office or a night out when you still want proper tailoring.

The fabric

  • Mid–blue herringbone tweed with a soft, textured weave

  • Strong enough to feel tailored, subtle enough for regular wear

  • Pairs with white, cream or black tops, shirts, camis or roll-necks, plus boots, brogues or heels

Women’s tailoring – cut for your body

This isn’t a men’s suit scaled down. Your blue herringbone suit is drafted around you:

  • Jacket shaped through the waist and bust for a clean, modern silhouette

  • Slightly neater jacket length for a women’s cut (not boxy, not overly long unless your measurements call for it)

  • Trousers cut to your bum, hips and thighs, not just a waist size

  • Waistcoat shaped to sit flat over the bust without gaping

The result: a three-piece that looks intentional from every angle, not “almost right”.

Style options – built into this made-to-measure suit

Because this is made to measure, you get more control over the look:

  • Jacket front – classic single-breasted (as pictured) or a bolder double-breasted front

  • Jacket lapels – timeless notch lapel, or a sharper peak lapel if you want extra attitude

  • Waistcoat front – single-breasted or double-breasted

  • Waistcoat lapels – clean V-front with no lapel, or a lapel for a more “mini jacket” feel

  • Waistcoat back – black satin (lighter under a jacket) or full tweed (best if you’ll wear it on its own)

All chosen with simple dropdowns on the product page – no need for a long email chain.

Fit & measurements – how it works

Instead of picking a size, you give us the measurements that matter. On the product page you’ll see clear dropdowns for:

  • Chest / bust

  • Waist (tummy area)

  • Bum / hips

  • Trouser waist (where you like your trousers to sit)

  • Jacket sleeve length

  • Inside leg

  • Height band

Each one comes with simple guidance so you know where to measure and which band to choose – you don’t need to be a tailor.

There’s also an additional notes box for anything else you want us to know:

  • One shoulder higher than the other

  • One arm longer

  • Strong thighs / curvier hips

  • A favourite suit or pair of trousers you’d like us to take cues from

We use all of that to cut a blue herringbone suit that is:

  • Tailored, but not skin-tight

  • Comfortable enough to sit, stand, walk and dance in

  • Proportioned to your height so jacket length, waistcoat line and trouser break all look deliberate

  • Dinners, drinks and nights out when a blazer and jeans won’t quite cut it

Made to Order vs Made to Measure

You might also list a made-to-order women’s blue herringbone suit in standard sizes. That’s ideal if someone:

  • Is happy with usual UK sizing

  • Just wants separate jacket/waistcoat and trouser sizes

This product is the Made to Measure option:

  • Built around your measurements, not a generic size chart

  • Extra style control (double-breasted options, peak lapels, waistcoat lapels, waistcoat back fabric)

  • Best for tricky fits and “big event” outfits where you want it spot on
