Classic styling

Single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, with a matching single-breasted, lapel-free waistcoat.

Slim fit sits closer through the jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Regular fit gives more room through the body and legs. Enter your actual body measurements: we apply the fit allowance. Prefer a roomier fit? Contact us before ordering.

Satin is cooler under a jacket. Full tweed looks best if you’ll be wearing the waistcoat on its own.

Upper body measurements

Use the same unit for every measurement, including your full height without shoes. Enter exact numbers, including decimals, rather than rounding to a size band. Follow the measurement guide; do not add extra allowance. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering.

Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, with the tape level and snug but not digging in.

Measure around the widest part of your waist/tummy, keeping the tape level and comfortably snug. This is for the jacket and waistcoat, not your trouser waistband.

Measure around the fullest part of your bum/hips, with the tape level all the way round.

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where a shoulder seam would sit) down to where you’d like the jacket cuff to end.

Lower body measurements

Measure around where you want the trouser waistband to sit – usually just above the hip bones.

Measure from the very top of the inside leg (right up in the crotch) down to where you’d like the trouser hem to sit on your shoe.

Height

Enter your full height without shoes in the unit selected above. For example, 5 feet 10 inches is 70 inches, not 5.10. We use your height alongside the other measurements to balance the suit proportions.

Anything else we should know? (optional)

If there’s anything unusual we should allow for – one shoulder higher, one arm longer, bigger thighs, previous tailoring you liked, etc. – pop it in here.

Big blue check, tailored properly to you.

Our men’s large blue check tweed three-piece suit is fully made to measure. Instead of forcing yourself into a standard size, you provide your measurements and we make the suit for you.

The cloth is a bold blue tweed with a large-scale check – full of personality, very “race day” and wedding-ready, but still clean enough to wear again and again.

  • Works brilliantly with white or pale blue shirts, knitted ties and tan or dark brown shoes

Your three-piece suit includes a single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, a matching single-breasted waistcoat without lapels, and trousers. We keep the styling straightforward so you can concentrate on the cloth and fit.

Choose a black satin waistcoat back for a lighter layer under your jacket, or a full tweed back if you plan to wear the waistcoat on its own.

Your measurements and fit

This suit is Made to Measure. Select inches or centimetres and enter exact measurements in the same unit throughout, including your full height without shoes. Decimals are welcome. Do not round to a standard size or add extra allowance.

Allow around four weeks before dispatch, plus delivery. UK delivery is £15; international delivery is calculated at checkout. See our delivery details and alterations and returns information.

Not quite sure about the colour or fit? Ask us about sizing or fabric samples before you order.
Care

Always follow the care label supplied with your suit. Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry unless the label expressly permits it. Store your jacket and waistcoat on suitable hangers. If you are unsure about cleaning, pressing or a particular mark, contact us before treating the fabric.
Made to Order or Made to Measure?

Both services make your suit for your order: a single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, a single-breasted waistcoat without lapels, and trousers or, for women, a skirt. Choose a black satin or full tweed waistcoat back.

Made to Order: choose standard jacket/waistcoat and bottom sizes separately, then your fit and length options.

Made to Measure: provide your individual measurements in inches or centimetres. Men can choose Slim or Regular fit; use the notes box for other fit preferences.
