Includes a single-breasted, notch-lapel jacket, a single-breasted waistcoat without lapels, and your choice of trousers or skirt. Choose a black satin or full tweed waistcoat back.

Your three-piece suit includes a jacket, waistcoat and your choice of trousers or skirt.

Classic styling

Single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, with a matching single-breasted, lapel-free waistcoat.

Satin is cooler under a jacket. Full tweed looks best if you’ll be wearing the waistcoat on its own.

Upper body measurements

Use the same unit for every measurement, including your full height without shoes. Enter exact numbers, including decimals, rather than rounding to a size band. Follow the measurement guide; do not add extra allowance. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering.

Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, with the tape level and snug but not digging in.

Measure around your natural waist, where your body creases when you bend to the side. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug.

Measure around the fullest part of your bum/hips, with the tape level all the way round.

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where a shoulder seam would sit) down to where you’d like the jacket cuff to end.

Lower body measurements

Measure around where you want the trouser waistband to sit – usually just above the hip bones.

Measure from the very top of the inside leg (right up in the crotch) down to where you’d like the trouser hem to sit on your shoe.

Height

Enter your full height without shoes in the unit selected above. For example, 5 feet 10 inches is 70 inches, not 5.10. We use your height alongside the other measurements to balance the suit proportions.

If there’s anything unusual we should allow for – one shoulder higher, one arm longer, bigger thighs, previous tailoring you liked, etc. – pop it in here.
Description

Warm brown tweed, navy overcheck, tailored to your actual shape.

Our women’s brown tweed three-piece suit with navy overcheck is fully made to measure. Instead of squeezing into an “almost right” size, you provide your measurements and we make the suit for you.

The cloth is a rich mid–brown tweed with a subtle navy overcheck – properly British, very race-day and countryside-wedding friendly, but still clean and modern enough for city offices and evenings out.

The fabric

  • Mid–brown tweed with a navy overcheck

  • Warm, flattering and easier to wear than plain brown

  • Works with white, cream, navy or light blue shirts, camis and roll-necks, plus boots, brogues or heels

Classic styling, made for you

Your three-piece suit includes a single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, a matching single-breasted waistcoat without lapels, and trousers or skirt. We keep the styling straightforward so you can concentrate on the cloth and fit.

Choose a black satin waistcoat back for a lighter layer under your jacket, or a full tweed back if you plan to wear the waistcoat on its own.

Choose trousers or a skirt in the Bottom Style selector. A skirt replaces the trousers; it is not an extra fourth piece. The current product photographs show the trouser version.

Your measurements and fit

This suit is Made to Measure. Select inches or centimetres and enter exact measurements in the same unit throughout, including your full height without shoes. Decimals are welcome. Do not round to a standard size or add extra allowance.

  • Chest / bust
  • Natural waist for the jacket and waistcoat
  • Bum / hips
  • Jacket sleeve length
  • Waist where your chosen trouser or skirt waistband will sit
  • Inside leg for trousers, or finished skirt length measured from the waistband to your chosen hem
  • Full height without shoes

Made to Order or Made to Measure?

Not quite sure about the colour or fit? Ask us about sizing or fabric samples before you order.
Care

Always follow the care label supplied with your suit. Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry unless the label expressly permits it. Store your jacket and waistcoat on suitable hangers. If you are unsure about cleaning, pressing or a particular mark, contact us before treating the fabric.
Made to Order or Made to Measure?

Both services make your suit for your order: a single-breasted jacket with notch lapels, a single-breasted waistcoat without lapels, and trousers or, for women, a skirt. Choose a black satin or full tweed waistcoat back.

Made to Order: choose standard jacket/waistcoat and bottom sizes separately, then your fit and length options.

Made to Measure: provide your individual measurements in inches or centimetres. Men can choose Slim or Regular fit; use the notes box for other fit preferences.
